My favorite poem is “Still I Rise” by the way. Also, I live this quote. I can never remember my specific interactions with people and often completely fabricate what i think may have been past dialogues with friends. However, i am always certain of my love and care for special others, regardless of an actual memory supporting why I feel the way I do.
For me, my impulses and feelings are often enough to go by. I don’t need facts and rationality. I never forgot how people make me feel- all else is irrelevant.
I believe this applies to others. I tend to wonder why I have so many great friends, especially when we may not have spent a ton of time together in the past. It must be because when we are together, we are sure of how we fee, and that would be wonderful.
